CHILDREN
AND YOUTH NEWS.....from Danielle Vogel Children’s Church will be offered on the 2nd
and 4th
Sundays of the month during the school year. This will be offered during the sermon time following
the children’s message. Children’s Church is open to children in preschool
through third grade. Youth
News: SuperNight will be February 24-25. This fun lock-in is hosted by
the Rochester Area Youth For Christ. Cost
is 30 dollars per youth attending. Youth
in 6th
grade are required to have 1 chaperone per 3 youth and must remain in the same
building as their chaperone at all times. Older youth require 1 chaperone per 6 youth.
If you are interested in attending or
chaperoning, or driving the van, please see Danielle for details.
(Van drivers do not need to stay at the event all evening.) There are some
Cookie Sundays available for mission trip fundraisers.
Please check the book if you are interested in working and please let Danielle
know, so that we do not have too many
families working each cookie Sunday. Families should be prepared to bring
3 dozen treats. We do need help with dishes in the kitchen during these days as
well. Please turn in your Mission Trip forms and 30 dollar deposit ASAP! Spots will not be finalized
until deposits are received! We will be starting Gallons for Giving, our annual Mission trip Gas Money drive, on February
4th.
If your youth would like to sign up to work the donation table, please let
Danielle know! Faith
Activity to do at home as a family! We are ending
Epiphany, and heading towards Lent. Have a family discussion about a long trip
you may have taken, and what you may have seen on the journey. Did you attend a
different church while you were away? How were the people and places different
than home? Both the Wiseman and Jesus traveled away from home, with the Wiseman
encountering Herod, and Jesus ministering
to many on the way!
